With power-to-gas, renewable sources can be integrated into a flexible and clean energy system. The process involves the production of green hydrogen through electrolysis, powered exclusively by renewable sources. The hydrogen produced can be subsequently blended with the methane in the network or, through a further methanisation process, transformed into green methane.
The latter has the same characteristics as conventional natural methane and can be fed into the gas network, offering versatile solutions for distribution and storage.
