1. Data Controller
The data controller of the data subject to this notice is SGI SpA, with registered office in Via della Moscova, 3, 21121 Milano.
The personal data collected will be processed exclusively for purposes related to the activities of the SGI website and the services offered. The legal basis for processing is the consent to provide personal data, which is necessary in this case to use the various services. SGI reserves the right to cancel registration and discontinue the provision of services if the obtained data are found to be untrue. Personal data may only be communicated to affiliated/controlled companies or public or private entities to fulfil obligations required by law. The processing related to the services of the SGI website takes place at the Frosinone headquarters and is carried out only by authorized personnel or by third parties, contractually responsible with privacy clauses, for occasional maintenance operations and as necessary to perform services under specific requests. The computer systems and software used for the proper functioning of the website store, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This data is used solely for the purpose of obtaining statistical information about the use of the sites and to monitor their proper functioning. The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of emails to the site and to the addresses indicated on it entails the acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data entered in the email.
2. Legal Basis for Processing and Optional Provision of Data
Apart from what is specified for cookies and navigation data, the user is free to provide personal data reported in the forms or in the forms present on the SGI website or otherwise indicated when contacting SGI to request the sending of informational material, other communications, or to access specific services. Failure to provide them may result in the impossibility of obtaining what is requested.
3. Processing Methods and Personal Data Storage Policy
Personal data is processed exclusively for purposes related to the activities of the website, using automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected and in any case until the data subject declares to revoke the consent given. Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, unlawful or incorrect use, and unauthorized access.
4. Rights of Data Subjects
Under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, the data subject has the right to:
Obtain confirmation of the existence or not of data concerning them, even if not yet recorded, and their communication in an intelligible form;
Obtain indication of:
a) the origin of personal data;
b) the purposes and methods of processing;
c) the logic applied in case of processing carried out with the aid of electronic instruments;
d) the identifying details of the data controller, processors, and designated representative pursuant to Article 5, paragraph 2;
e) the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of it as designated representative in the territory of the State, processors, or persons in charge.
– Obtain:
a) the updating, rectification, or, when interested, integration of data;
b) the erasure, anonymization, or blocking of data processed unlawfully, including data whose retention is unnecessary for the purposes for which the data was collected or subsequently processed;
c) certification that the operations in letters a) and b) have been notified, as also related to their contents, to those to whom the data was communicated or disseminated, except where this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared to the right protected;
d) data portability: the right to receive personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to transmit this data to another data controller, where technically feasible and only for data processed by electronic means with consent. Object, in whole or in part:
a) for legitimate reasons, to the processing of personal data concerning them, even if pertinent to the purpose of the collection;
b) to the processing of personal data concerning them for the purpose of sending advertising materials or direct selling or for carrying out market research or commercial communication.
Under the same article, there is also the right to request the erasure, anonymization, or blocking of data processed unlawfully, as well as to object in any case, for legitimate reasons, to their processing. Finally, we remind you that as the data subject, you can revoke your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the revocation.
