Frosinone, May 20, 2024 – Società Gasdotti Italia, the second-largest natural gas TSO in the country, obtained a certification from KIWA CERMET attesting to the conformity of its Gender Equality Management System with the UNI/PdR 125:2022 standard.

This achievement confirms the company’s commitment, which today has a female workforce of over 23%, with approximately 33% in senior positions and about 42% on the Board, to continue increasing the female presence within its workforce to strengthen gender balance in leadership and decision-making processes.

This objective demonstrates the attention that Società Gasdotti Italia places on creating an inclusive culture that promotes gender equality in all processes, also encouraging a better balance between professional and private life.

In the 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, the company has planned the establishment of a Committee chaired by the CEO, which approves the gender equality strategy and monitors its implementation. Among the actions to be implemented, training programs on gender equality topics will be introduced for all stakeholders and the company’s supply chain.

Starting from a commitment to social sustainability, SGI has active policies supporting employee flexibility through the application of flexible working hours and the provision of welfare plans with measures supporting individuals and families.

The certification process for gender equality involved employees in diverse roles and covered various areas of company life. According to CEO Roberto Loiola: “As Società Gasdotti Italia, in addition to an energy transition through continuous interventions in the territories and the drive for innovation, we feel the responsibility to foster social change by becoming a virtuous model for inclusion, training, and respect. The issue of gender certification is certainly a matter of responsibility but, above all, an opportunity. In this sense, inclusion, I am convinced, is one of the values that most ensures the economic development of Italian companies.
