Rome, October 30, 2025 – Società Gasdotti Italia (SGI), a leading company in the natural gas sector, has further strengthened its position of excellence in sustainability, achieving once again the highest 5-star rating in the 2025 GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark), the international benchmark assessing the ESG performance of infrastructure companies.
With an overall score of 99 out of 100, SGI ranked first among international natural resource transport companies participating in the 2025 GRESB benchmark—up from second place last year—surpassing both its peer group average (94) and the overall GRESB average (90).
This achievement confirms the company’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement in environmental, social, and governance areas, fully aligned with its strategic goals for sustainability and decarbonization.
Specifically, SGI scored 39 out of 40 in the Management area (Leadership, Policies, Reporting, Risk Management, and Stakeholder Engagement) and 60 out of 60 in ESG Performance, achieving the highest possible scores in Environment (35/35) and Governance (24/24), and an excellent result in the Social dimension (40/41).
These results reflect the many initiatives undertaken by the company in the ESG field—from strengthening its governance structures to introducing new corporate policies on Diversity&Inclusion and safety, as well as enhancing systems for monitoring environmental and social performance.
