Frosinone, July 15th, 2026 – Società Gasdotti Italia (SGI), a leading company in natural gas transmission, has obtained “LEED Gold” certification for its new Frosinone site, further consolidating its commitment to integrating environmental criteria into the design and management of its buildings through one of the most important international recognitions for sustainable construction. With an overall score of 66 out of 110, SGI confirms the continuous improvement path it has undertaken in recent years in the environmental, social and governance fields.
In detail, SGI achieved 25 points out of 33 available in the Energy & Atmosphere category, including 18 points — the maximum score — for energy efficiency and 3 out of 3 points for renewable energy production. Another distinctive element is represented by the Innovation category, where SGI achieved the maximum score of 6 out of 6. Among the initiatives recognised are the implementation of a full LED lighting system, the use of low-emission materials and the sustainable management of water resources.
With regard to this latter area, SGI achieved 8 points out of 11 for its excellent performance in water resource management, with a 75% reduction in indoor water consumption. This result earned the company the Exemplary Performance recognition in the Innovation category.
